LADISLAV ZELENKA AND THE BOHEMIAN (CZECH) QUARTET

The historical exposition "Ladislav Zelenka and the Bohemian (Czech) Quartet" made by Tomáš Hanousek took place in the Modřany Bell Tower in Prague from 3rd to 6th of August 2020. The exposition presented the life and work of the highly respected cellist and pedagogue Ladislav Zelenka (1881-1957) and his activities in the internationaly renowned ensemble, which was essentional for the Czech tradition of chamber music. The opening concert performed by the Prague Viola Duo was on August 3 (Bach, Mozart, Gliere, Brahms, Laburda). Both the concert and the exhibition had a very high attendance. It was a couple of beautiful days full of nice meetings with people who came to enjoy a magical place of the Prague Modřany Bell Tower near the birthplace of Zelenka.
