Jean - Marie Leclair was one of the major composers of the Baroque period, himself being a violinist and master of the ballet e. g. in the court of King Louis XV in Paris. His Sonata in c minor op. 12 No. 5 brings virtuosity and dance characters that make this music very lively and attractive. Bohuslav Řehoř is a living Czech composer and a longtime professor of the Prague Conservatory. His music is based on traditional means of expression while also being close to Moravian folk music. His Elegie and Dance was premiered by the Prague Viola Duo at the concert of the "Presence" - Czech Contemporary Music Society in Prague (2013). Antonín Dvořák's Miniatures op. 75a are very popular both in the version for two violins and violins, as well as in the version for violin and piano ("Romantic Pieces"). The Prague Viola duo performs this composition with a small instrumentation adjustment together with violinist Kristýna Duchoňová.
